I am curious to understand and learn about the whole process of a book from A-Z. I think it is important to educate oneself to have an overall understanding.

I understood that I would need to get an ISBN for the book, so I researched it and found the Swiss procedure. It was very simple and I received my one number via email for a small fee. They require that a copy of the book be sent to the federal book library where they have a copy of everything published https://www.sbvv.ch/. This assures my copyright to the book. And I am linked to the book. There are free ISBN numbers with LULU and other distributors but I decided to keep my purchased one so I have all the rights

Do I want to put a book in an envelope and send it out to customers around the world? One or two perhaps, but realistically I am more interested in telling stories and illustrating work. I really do need get sorted with a distributor.
