I have many projects that I start but do not finish. Who can relate to me? The ideas are there, and I can tell you there are many! Often it is lacking in time because of other priorities, eg. family! but I have come to that age where my children are independent, and the question of retirement is hovering in the conversations.

My Mother passed away at the age of 69. She had been dying very slowly from the age of 62 with a rare disease called Progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP). I remember her telling me that she really enjoyed her fifties that she was fit and able to do many things that she had put on hold.

I considered this fragile and precious life we have and looked at all my ideas and dreams that I had on paper and scattered in my head. Perhaps I should act on my ideas whilst I could!

So I decided to make my fifties count, I am going to fill it to the brim with exciting adventures for myself, and open doors of opportunities, this is now my life.
